Training

Ed began his broadcasting career working as a weekend disc jockey for Radio Southwest, Inc., in 1972 at KOLE 1340 AM Radio in Port Arthur, Texas. Later, he attended Lamar University as a broadcasting major. Then, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served as a broadcaster with Armed Forces Radio, and brings his wealth of experience to the marketplace. His afternoon drive-time radio show was carried by all six radio affiliates of the American Forces Korea Network throughout the Republic of Korea. Later at Headquarters Air Force News Agency, Ed hosted "Air Forces Radio News", heard on all Armed Forces Radio affiliates.. worldwide. But, don't let his broadcasting background fool you. His wide range of funny character voices is bound to bring a smile to the face of your clients.

Ed Autry has also been featured in regional television commercials in the Kansas City market for such clients as Hallmark Crown Center, and industrial videos for Marrion Merrill Dow. Photographer Nick Vedros was so impressed with his elastic face, Ed was featured on the cover of Tele-Com, an international magazine.
