‘Rising Star” – TV Times. ‘One of the brightest young broadcasters around’- Women’s Own

Few broadcasters can make the gear change between entertainment, hard news, personal insights and audience participation as effortlessly and as naturally as Caroline - most recently presenting Sky News and a regular contributor on ITV1’s Alan Titchmarsh Show.

But it was at Capital FM where Caroline began winning over audiences for six years from 1995 – aged just 18. Working alongside Chris Tarrant and Neil Fox, she made her name as the station’s dynamic “Flying Eye”, while also DJ-ing and presenting of her own shows – hosting Saturday afternoon’s London Chart and Early Breakfast regularly. It wasn’t just travel news, Caroline reported on the Hatfield rail crash, the London bomb threats of 1997, and the Brit Awards – providing a live flavour of the most exciting city in the world to 4 million listeners.

GMTV sent Caroline to Hollywood as their West Coast reporter for a time, and she was a regular on the sofa – presenting the TV guide slot and competitions. Caroline co-hosted (with Colin Murray) the huge World Fifpro Awards for Sky One, interviewing the world’s best players from Ronaldo to Lampard to Ronaldhino and for ITV1’s This Morning she interviewed Hugh Grant and covered the red carpet premiere.

Her chatty warm nature have led her to be a regular contributor to many debate programmes – including the Alan Titchmarsh Show (ITV1), Sky News and The Wright Stuff (C5) and sampling Heston’s Fairytale Feast on Channel 4 (2010). Not just a great host, she's also an excellent guest - having taken on Anne Robinson in the Weakest Link (and outwitted her...according to one women's magazine!), Caroline enjoys competing regularly in TV Celebrity Poker Championships, and contributing to various countdown and clip shows.

From 2001, Caroline joined BBC Radio Five Live - the prestigious national talk radio network. Her programme “The Juice” – an intelligent two hour entertainment and media programme – grew audiences by a third (RAJAR) in just its first 3 months on air and continued to grow – landing big interviews from Victoria Beckham to Michael Moore and getting five stars weekly from Heat magazine. The “Weekend News” followed, co-presenting with Matthew Bannister for a year, and the opportunities to broadcast live from the Academy Awards and Edinburgh Festival for Five Live Breakfast.

Then, from 2003, Caroline launched LBC 97.3’s new Drivetime Show, once again plumping up audience figures and landing strong interviews – from the Chancellor to the London Mayor. The second Gulf War broke out during the first few months and Caroline’s strong journalistic background was a solid basis for the news based daily show. Caroline went on to host a very popular phone in programme for four further years.

Her roots in journalism (she trained as a journalist - coming third in the country in the exam) were the draw that took her from radio to full-time TV as a presenter and reporter for BBC 1 News (South East) from 2007, having also previously presented breakfast on the ITV News Channel.

Versatile, bright (she’s a member of MENSA), accessible and engaging, Caroline’s as at home interviewing politicians as she is members of the public, a naturally engaging story teller who is at ease on TV and radio.

The voice of Channel 4's daily breakfast music show - B4, she’s one of the most sought after voiceover artists in the UK and has ads for Citroen, X-Box, Madonna, Bodyform, Bathstore, Kelloggs, Kylie, Mail on Sunday, Lynx, Felix and many more to her name, plus a number of documentaries including the Gumball Rally for ITV1, and is the continuity voice of Comedy Central – having previously provided continuity for both Bravo and Living TV.
Caroline presented London TV, VH-1, comedy show "Consequently" on Carlton, and both series of Saturday night entertainment show “Sky Rocket” on Sky One. Caroline also was a main host of ITV1's live interactive game show "The Mint".
An excellent corporate and live event presenter, as Emirates Airlines, Virgin Mobile, BAA, Roche Pharmaceutical and many more will testify - Caroline also chaired the political debate at the version of "Question Time" at the Conservative Party Conference. In 2007, she won the Prince Philip Award for her "outstanding contribution to Radio and Journalism" and a real highlight while at Capital FM, was presenting the annual Party In the Park in Hyde Park live in front of 100,000 people!
No stranger to the red carpet and gracing the celebrity pages of magazines in her own right, Caroline’s also bagged interviews with most big stars, from Kate Winslet to Hugh Grant to Wayne Rooney, and is called upon to officially compere and host premieres - including the annual Royal Premiere – in Leicester Square.
Away from work - music, fitness, films, travel and property are passions and areas of expertise for Caroline. She's toured around Vietnam, Cambodia, and South America, owns properties in Europe and Brazil - and has had the opportunity to present a number of travel shows for Sky Travel and The Travel Channel and Thomas Cook TV.
Hard-working Caroline keeps her energy and fitness levels up with military style boot camp fitness classes and running. A certified Advanced SCUBA diver, who also holds a full motorcycle licence, Caroline ran the London Marathon for Marie Curie Cancer Care, and is certainly someone who rises to a challenge.
